Its not uncommon. Recruits are taught how to handle stress by subjecting them to the worst possible scenario. In the event that they do encounter the enemy, they will not buckle down to fear.

I have heard about this before from Russian friends. But to see it on video....I cannot even describe how I feel. It is so sad to see such fine young men treated so terribly. How can Russia ever be a great nation when it treats young military recriuts
